Proposals for discussion at the October 2017 IKF Phone Board Meeting

All replies must be received no later than October 10, 2017.

The following 3 Proposals affect awards and funding back to the Region.

Section 800 Regional Points Program

#1 – this takes all money and any extra money and awards – including Regional Champion jackets.

Add Rule 800.9.4 For a Section 200 series to qualify for the Regional Awards Program, the series must adopt all applicable spec programs. For example, spec tire, spec fuel, etc. The Regional Points Fund Payment from the “per entry” fee collected by the IKF, and, any funds or awards intended for the Regional Awards Program by the IKF and sponsoring companies will not be awarded. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.

#2 – this doesn’t impact the Regional Points Fund monies, just anything else we pickup from sponsors that would otherwise be passed along to the series:

Add Rule 800.9.4 For a Section 200 series to qualify for the monies from the Regional Awards Program, the series must adopt all applicable spec programs. For example, spec tire, spec fuel, etc. Funds or awards provided to the IKF and intended for the Regional Awards Program by the sponsoring companies not utilized will not be awarded. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.

#3 – this takes back 50% of the Regional Awards money, and all extras:

Add Rule 800.9.4 For a Section 200 series to qualify for the Regional Awards Program, the series must adopt all applicable spec programs. For example, spec tire, spec fuel, etc. The Regional Points Fund Payment from the “per entry” fee collected by the IKF will be reduced by 50% and any funds or awards provided to the IKF and intended for the Regional Awards Program by the sponsoring companies not utilized will not be awarded. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.

Section 820 Matching Funds Program

(ONLY APPLIES TO REGIONAL SERIES) IKF matches up to $2.00 per entry any additional funds that the Region sends into IKF for holding until the end of the year – used to pay for awards and such at the year end awards ceremonies usually:

#1 – This takes all the money and awards

Add Rule 820.1.1 For a Section 200 series to qualify for the Matching Funds Program, the series must adopt all applicable spec programs. For example, spec tire, spec fuel, etc. Matching Funds and any funds or awards provided to the IKF and intended for the Matching Funds Program by the sponsoring companies not utilized will not be awarded. This does not apply to the funds deposited, only the funds awarded. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.

#2 – This reduces the IKF Match to 50%:

Add Rule 820.1.1 For a Section 200 series to qualify for the full amount available in the Matching Funds Program, the series must adopt all applicable spec programs. For example, spec tire, spec fuel, etc. Funds or awards provided to the IKF and intended for the Matching Funds Program by the sponsoring companies not utilized will not be awarded. If the series does not comply with this requirement, then the matching amount will be 50% of what would otherwise be awarded. This does not apply to the funds deposited, only the funds awarded. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board of Directors.
